A great respect for biking is present in Quebec. Only Montreal has more than 400 kms of bike paths and from here many "Voies Vertes" spread all over the Province. A good net of hotels, motels, B & Bs permit to bike easily as well as the presence of trains and buses. Biking here in  autumn is special thanks to  wonderful colors of trees and  thousands and thousands of birds that flight over You during their migration to the South.  The Gaspé peninsula worth is fame and here it is possible to find spectacular sections along the Chaleur Bay and the Matapedia Valley.

MOTEL LE CANADIEN  (Cap de la Madeleine): cheap and biker friendly. Had a great chatting about Canada with the owner. 

 

A UNKNOW BIKER (Quebec): a gentle lady that guided us to Quebec Bridge in the late evening. 

 

MOTEL LES MARINIERS (Kamouraska): cheap, fully equipped and placed in a pretty Village. When i was paying the room the receptionist said me: here bikers are not problems. 

 

KAMOURASKA'S MUSEUM GUIDES: a perfect tour inside the history and traditions of the Region. 

 

DENIS, A VIA RAIL EMPLOYER (Rimousky): very willing to explain us everything about travelling by train in Quebec and who open his office for us before the scheduled business hours. 

 

A UNKNOWN WOMAN (Rivière du Loup): who invited us to shelter in her home during a heavy rain giving us informations about hotels and B&Bs. 

 

MOTEL RESTIGOUCHE (Matapedia): cheap, biker friendly and found at the end of a rainy day. 

 

A UNKNOW MAN (near Nouvelle): who stopped his pick up during a heavy rain asking us if We needed a lift to our destination. 

 

MARIE sea front (Marie): a great biking leg. 

 

MOTEL PLANTE (Gaspé): cheap, fully equipped and with a nice panorama. 

 

GASPE' RAILWAYS STATION CREW (Gaspé): who helped us to pack our bikes before onboarding them on the train. 

 

HOTEL DE LA FONTAINE (Montreal): biker friendly, confortable and close to Montreal's hart. 

 

THE CHALEUR: Via rail train equipped with panoramic wagon, restaurant and bed rooms and also available to onboard bikes. 

 

MIKES RESTAURANTS: where to find some good salmon and canadian beers for the right price. 

 

METEOMEDIA QUEBEC:  a TV chain dedicated only to wheater forecasting.
